We had JT’s Painting paint one of our rental units. I knew he was no joke when he wanted to meet at 8am on a Saturday to look at the unit for an estimate. He gave me a great price and fit me into a small window the unit would be available. We agreed on walls and trim but at the last minute I asked if he could add the ceilings, which needed patching. First of all, his work is absolutely stunning, his attention to detail is incredible. HIs work ethic is remarkable. He shows up on time, and leaves each day making sure to pick up EVERYTHING, leaving the job site looking like a home and not a work site. There was not one drop of paint out of place. He finished the job in a faster time frame then was quoted. His communication was outstanding, ours was a large outdoor job and the weather was challenging. First off, my cabinets look better than store bought. He went above and beyond. Really wants to satisfy his clients. That being said, the paint store gave Josh the wrong color paint and the cabinets were quite a bit whiter than we wanted. Alls good though, we like the color. Could have been a bad situation. Josh used PVC boards along the garage base to replace some rotted wood, eliminating any future problems due to water. I needed a painter for the second-story exterior trim on porch on our Schenectady bungalow. JT's caught my attention on my Google search because he was local (just minutes away) and had impeccable reviews. It was a good decision for several reasons. First, JT kept in close communication regarding scheduling from start to finish. Second, his price proposal was very competitive. Third, he kept me involved in the work, doing an initial walk-around to make sure he and his crew attended to all my concerns and checking in again on the last day, asking if there was anything they had missed. Fourth, the three-man crew was punctual, diligent, and did a bang-up job. Fifth, JT demonstrated integrity. When I pointed out a bird's nest in an area that needed painting, he had one of his men inspect it. There was an unhatched egg, and JT told me that they would not disturb it but come back in a few weeks when the nest had emptied to deal with that spot at no extra cost. Another person might have just taken it down; as birders, my wife and I appreciated JT's professional ethics. Also, he discovered that a porch railing that was loose; he pointed it out and offered to secure it, again at no extra charge. Nice touch. Finally, he and the crew left our property spotless. JT's Painting is wonderful. They took the interior of this dumpy little neglected cape house I bought in August, and transformed it into a bright, clean, beautiful, happy place. Now I can restore and enhance it back to the good looking little home it's supposed to be. Josh and Jesse were easy to work with, polite, funny, and all the while, they were working hard to get the job done from top to bottom, closets and back breaking nooks, too. They spotted and repaired cracks and other problems that I had not noticed. One in particular, a sheet-rocked ceiling/slanted roof section at the top of the stairway, needed immediate reattachment and repair. They saved me from a future major repair. JT’s painting was sent by a contractor to come & fix a hole in the wall where a non working heat pump had been removed. His work was amazing. He took a small piece of the wall & color matched, since I didn’t know what color it was anymore. Josh’s work was amazing. I had been interviewing painters for painting my home. I asked for an estimate. I also had him stain my deck. He arranged for a power washer to come in to clean it first. The deck looks new again! JT's Painting just finished painting the interior of my house and I can't say enough good things about them. First of all, they are totally professional. They showed up exactly on time everyday. Josh told me at the beginning of the week what was going to happen each day and it did. They just got to work right away and worked all day without any talking to each other. I was looking to have interior painting done at our home. Josh responded to my email quickly and showed up on the date & time for the estimate, something that several others did not do. Josh was very professional, courteous, and knowledgeable, making several recommendations. I received a written estimate shortly after, and our work was added to his schedule that worked for both of us. Josh and his son Jay, ( very nice & respectful young man ) along with his crew showed up right on time each day and worked hard all day. They cleaned up each day when work was completed. They did an outstanding job and painted the entire main floor and stairwell leading upstairs. Josh had estimated 3 days, and the job was completed on time. My husband & I strongly recommend JT's and Josh. We hired them this summer to repair & paint the outside of our 160 year old farmhouse, and we were thrilled with the entire process and the result. From start to finish, Josh Thompson was excellent to work with. Josh provided a detailed estimate and was flexible with the fluctuating closing date of our home, working to accommodate us without hesitation. Once Josh began the job, we knew our decision to hire him was a good one! He and his crew filled and patched every hole prior to painting; even the most critical eye would not find a blemish on our walls. When it came time to decide between two or three coats, Josh advised, but was never pushy. He's not only extremely skilled at painting, but also very knowledgeable about the chemistry of paint and how certain color choices will turn out based on what was on the wall prior. Josh and his team did an awesome job in our house! We needed popcorn ceilings removed and smoothed to match the bordering room’s texture and they did a beautiful job. They were done in a day, very upfront about cost, and cleaned up after! Highly recommend. See more See less
Josh and Jesse were great to work with. We hired them to remove the popcorn from our 17’ ceilings in our foyer, living room and hallway. My wife and I are not fans of popcorn ceilings, but hesitated to have them removed due to the mess the process usually entails. Josh’s drywall sander/vacuum combo smoothly removed the popcorn which went directly into disposal bags leaving next to nothing on the ground. The best part is this process was completely DRY! No old fashioned wet and scrape, which if you’ve seen it, is a disaster. We then had them paint the ceilings, walls, trim and doors. All of which came out beautifully. In fact, they were able to repair a few blemishes in the walls that I assumed would be there forever. In total, they spent 5 days at our home. They were always on time, cleaned up every evening before leaving, and were professional and meticulous the entire time. Would recommend to my family. See more See less

Josh and his helper did a fantastic job painting my updated kitchen. It was the first time hiring a professional painter and what a difference it made!
